Rare

Rare is a album cover project done for Communication Design 1. The objective was to take inspiration from an art/design movement and apply it to vinyl artwork (12"x12") for any artist. The inspiration that drove the creative direction for the vinyl came from the punk art movement that began in the 1960's-1970's. Choosing a pop artist was intentional in seeing the punk style applied to a music genre on the opposite side of the spectrum become something interesting.
Learning Outcomes:
I learned how to re-introduce Selena Gomez and her new album "Rare" (2020) which was selected and redesigned using methods of the punk art movement era (i.e. cutting bits of type).
