About
Camille MacRae is a multi-domain designer and emergent tech researcher. Her practice is research-based, and characterized by finding the edges of emerging technologies and extrapolating them into future scenarios and prototypes.
Her research is rooted in three processes that happen simultaneously.
The process of extrapolation - She extrapolates areas of interest into various future scenarios by diving into the deep end resulting in a series of questions that lay the ground work (value system, benefit) of the world she is inadvertently building as a consequence of a curious mind left unchecked by the bounds of reality. A key question being - if this then what?
The process of making - Once directionality is established Camille falls into her natural state thinking by making. By prototyping ideas and interactions in applicable mediums (both digital and physical) she can more fully understand the project direction (ex. world hinting, world weaving).
The process of communication - What is the best 'in-universe' strategy to tell a story with these artifacts? Who are the stakeholders? What are the downstream results?
