Hi! My name is Karen Ramirez!

I’m a Mexican-American visual development and background artist based in LA. My work revolves around capturing stories through color and light.

As a young girl growing up between LA and Mexico City, my love for environments have stem from my personal experiences growing up in busy cities and nature! Mixing that with my love of animation, I've always strive to immerse others through the worlds and stories I want to explore. I'm also deeply inspired by art history, architecture, and technicolor films which inspire my paintings. When I'm not at my desk, I'm usually exploring LA architecture or plein air painting!
