My work investigates concepts of grief, resilience and transcendence, in relation to my life as a Korean American in Los Angeles (after a 25-year social justice career in NYC, DC, L.A.) I incorporate numerous materials and processes: acrylic, spray paint, stencil, collage, photo transfer, silkscreen. My work lays out possibilities for social change. My art is influenced by my experience of how multiple systems of inequality intersect for women of color.
