Hello, my name is Yinghua Lu. When I was in high school, my first job was as a sneaker trader. I was invested in the story, the aesthetics, the culture and found meaning in the details I could touch.

Today as a Footwear Designer, I live at the intersection of lifestyle and performance, designing shoes that touch every part of our lives. As a design thinker, I discover the human factors that are often overlooked, the ergonomics, accessibility, psychology and emotion. Merging fashion and function, craftsmanship and storytelling, I create concepts that are inspired by sculpture, vintage craft, material tradition and brand heritage. Through design, I want to connect with diverse communities, giving people the freedom to celebrate who they are and who they wish to become.
