Calendula Nymph

Bright orange flowers caught my eye on a sunny afternoon in Arlington gardens. I was curious about the only flowers blooming in the garden in February, and found that they were Calendula. My research led me to the salves, teas, and ointments made with Calendula. Inspired by natural healing magic, bright orange flowers, and the love of children for small animals, I imagined a nymph that takes care of the helpless creatures of the forest.
