Grumplings

Birds and animals will eat plastic and feed it to their babies, causing health problems and death. I wanted to design and build a creature puppet based on this problem. Please view the "Process" tab for more!
Learning Outcomes:
This was my first puppet and I learned a lot along the way. I didn't have a great understanding of armatures or mechanics, but I did understand biology. I started with muscle diagrams and a skeleton, studied bat flight, and made a storyboard to understand how I wanted the Grumpling to move. Based on my preparation, I was able to create my first fully functional puppet!
