My Childhood Memory

An abstracted two dimensional image based on Digimon Adventure, reflecting the general concepts of Design 2 class.
Image
My IP is Digimon Adventure. It tells the story that eight selected children accidentally entered the digital world and started a fantasy adventure with their fellow digimons. I choose this IP because it represents my childhood and has a deep impact on myself. It is one of the reasons why I chose to study interaction design. I hope one day I can use augmented reality to create the digital world and meet my digimon. Besides that, there are many beautiful sceneries and different shapes in the animation that can be used as material for this project.
Image
For my project, my color palette is analogous. The overall feeling of my color palette is cool, saturated and desaturated. My symmetry is bilateral. The top half of the project describes the digital world. The children and digimons are clearly visible inside. And the environment behind them is the forest on File Island in digital world. The bottom half of the project is the river in the forest, reflecting the real world from which the children come. In this part, the digimons are faded because they don't belong to the real world. Symbols are emphasized with lighter colors. They are the spirit that the children get and hold on to in their real life during their adventures in the digital world. And in the middle of the image is a bus, which takes the children from the digital world back to the real world.
