Course:
INT-100 Materials Lab Workshop
Modular Magnets
INT-503M-03 with Joshua Levine In this project we were tasked to create a 'sign' using material process' learned through our induction into the workshop. I chose to create a modular typographic system focused on expanding legibility through discovery and play. Firstly I used the table saw to cut my modular shapes which I then finished using the spindle sander. I followed this up by using a drill press to create indentations in the back side of the letters to house magnets.
Learning Outcomes:
Being able to use the machinery in the workshop opens up possibilities to think dimensionally across all my projects at Art Center and beyond.
