Dogtown and Z-boys

This project is an homage to Dogtown and Z-boys and how they revolutionized skateboarding in the 1980s. The Z-boys known as the Zephyr boys were a group of surfers from Venice Beach who started skateboarding in empty swimming pools during the California drought, thus giving birth to a new form and style of skating, eventually going airborne, performing tricks in midair for the first time.
