Art Aquarium Museum

The Art Aquarium Museum is an immersive experience spotlighting the artistic possibilities of aquariums and the beautiful forms of goldfish. I capitalized on the inherent elegance of water and fish, creating a beautiful identity that was therapeutic to design and bring to life.

For the logo, I was inspired by the idea of reflections within water and glass. My goal was to introduce the idea that the aquarium visitors become part of the exhibit with their reflections in the glass adding to the experience.

While doing research on the aquarium, I learned that they only featured goldfish and was surprised yet intrigued about the many different species, most of which I never even knew existed! With this in mind, I wanted to inform other visitors about the beautiful fish with an interesting description describing each fish. The overall branding is very type driven, and my goal was to mimic the feeling and movement of waves with the type treatment. While editing the images of the goldfish, I tried to make it seem as if they are swimming across the posters leaving ripples in their wake.

While the basic exhibitions for the aquarium are wonderful and interesting, I wanted to make sure that they would also be able to host unique events and minor exhibitions. Because spring is a season for change, I chose a cherry blossom themed exhibition to bring forth the idea of rebirth–the visitors are reborn when they enter the aquarium.
