Hush

I like to think of myself as someone who loves easily, and I know that many others feel the same way. This book reflects the different aspects of life that I love by exploring the idea of intimacy, not just with a romantic partner but with ourselves, our families, and the world around us.
Learning Outcomes:
I learned how to curate works to bring to life a broader idea or theme, how to organize a lengthy book, and how to keep a cohesive style across different medias.

For the exhibition logo, I chose to connect the serif letterforms to show how each of us are interconnected. While beautiful on our own, together we create something much more.

I wanted the exhibition to be shown in a moody environment with dim lighting. Utilizing warm lighting, I wanted the experience to be intimate and warm while showcasing the pieces themselves as small so that viewers would have to get close to the work.

The posters feature a spotlighted artwork from the six different artists featured in the exhibition. I chose pieces that I personally believed portrayed intimacy extremely well. I was determined to show the beauty in sexual and nonsexual intimacy, choosing large-scale images to make the viewer feel enveloped in its warmth and have an intimate experience with the posters themselves.
