NKDSKN is a tanning product line and sister brand to luxury organic tanning company Vita Liberata. This project was a comprehensive rebrand of the logo, brand positioning, and packaging, aiming to bridge the gap between NKDSKN's compelling clean beauty messaging and its visual identity, thus elevating the brand from accessible and playful to quietly luxurious.
NKDSKN's existing packaging and logo failed to visually align with its brand promise of being clean, natural, and luxe. Through competitive analysis, user research, and extensive exploration of forms and materials, a new cohesive product family was developed, whose design authentically reflects the brand's identity.
This project revealed how deeply a product's form and visual language can either reinforce or undermine a brand's core message. It also demonstrated the value of mid-process pivots — a key discovery about clear tanning formula reoriented the entire design direction — and the importance of iteration and user feedback in reaching a final, emotionally resonant design.
