Science Channel: Question Everything

For this logo identity, our task was to get Science Channel viewers to "Question Everything." However, we realized that information without explanation or understanding is useless. We looked to the Science Channel's approach for inspiration. They present concepts that are out of this world, but make it relatable and more understandable. My teammate and I decided to create a story based on the formation of quasars, perhaps the most dramatic and exciting things in our universe. Quasars form when two supermassive black holes merge, creating a even larger black hole that emits massive amounts of light, noise, and energy. 

We explained this process through a universal love story, where the Milky Way galaxy and Andromeda galaxy unexpectedly meet on the dance floor. Their dance brings them closer and closer, until their fiery kiss.
