Alhambra Rebrand - The Hambster

This project is a newspaper design for the city of Alhambra to notify their community of the rebrand of the Alhambra city identity that I created. The front page includes information about the new identity system and opinions from community members, and the back details a map of the main downtown area of Alhambra. The new identity is inspired by the diversity of cultures and styles within Alhambra and aims to modernize the image of the city and communicate the fun and exciting feeling.
Learning Outcomes:
From this project I learned much about rebranding and logo design, and gained experience going rounds of ideation hundreds of logo designs and ideas. More importantly, once I had developed this new logo, I learned how to create a whole branding system from it, creating graphic elements and rules for visual elements and image treatments as well as proper logo usage and layouts in order to develop an entire branding identity guide.
