Applied Realities
This project is a an exhibition book that highlights the artwork of 6 artists, with an overall concept of focusing on science and technological advancements and using these to create art and communicate these perspectives. The first half of the book includes an article about NASA's latest spec tech advancements, and article about theoretical technologies that could be in development soon, and two interviews with two of the featured artists.
Learning Outcomes:
I further expanded my knowledge of book design with a larger page count. I learned how to develop a strong design system to carry on throughout the book design in varying ways that visually organizes the different sections of the book. I also learned how to curate artwork and sequence it, and design a book layout with sections that are purely typographical, sections that consist of plates of image sequences for artwork, and a combination of type and imagery including interview layouts.
