CHAGALIT: Adaptogenic Mushroom Chocolate

An adaptogenic mushroom chocolate bar concept I created based on the idea of wanting to try the effects of adaptogenic mushrooms without giving up your favorite blend of coffee. I developed the packaging and prototypes for 3 different flavors with different intended effects, and paired the flavor profiles of the specific adaptogens being used with the additional flavors incorporated into the chocolate bar. All 3 bars contain Chaga mushrooms.
Learning Outcomes:
From this project I got my first introduction to packaging design, where I learned not only the basics of packaging including form ideation, developing dielines and PDPs, and learning the regulations and standards on labeling and sizing of fonts or UPCs, but additionally how to cohesively ideate the branding behind the packaging and company concept. This includes logo ideation, concept and target market ideation and environmental and competitive audits for my given market.

The packaging contains hand-drawn vector artwork I created of the gills of a mushroom on the outside of all three flavors while the inside contains artwork I created of the mushroom that gives the intended effect of that flavor, as well as a description of all 3 adaptogens and their effects.
