Foo Fighters Vinyl Cover Redesign

This project was a redesign of a vinyl cover of an existing album and band, in the style of an art movement chosen from a given list. For this project I chose to redesign the album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace by the band Foo Fighters, in the international swiss style. I used world war 2 imagery to mimic the theme of the use of weaponry and war in the original vinyl design, and free floating and distorted type to emulate the international style.
Learning Outcomes:
Not only did I learn much about the international swiss style, as well as the other movements from the given list, I learned much about vinyl cover design as well as using bitmapping to make visuals from low quality imagery. I learned much about aspects of interaction and packaging design as well with Guillaume teaching us effective moves to make when designing the inner covers and vinyl stickers, keeping in mind the physical interaction the user has with the covers.
