Paper Tower

This project was a 3D physical sculpture that we were assigned to create and then photograph in order to create a collage from the photos. I created a tower from three sheets of paper I folded in a triangular tessellation fold in order to create a structure with ridges that capture colored light. I then used various colors of lights and angles of photography to create a dynamic collage of varying appearances of the same tower.
Learning Outcomes:
With this project I not only learned how to create this type of paper sculpture, but I also learned a lot about using colored lights and how color works, such as creating shadows of the complimentary color, and how to collage and organize colors and visuals in order to end up with three separate points of focus the eyes are drawn to within the composition.
