Spreading Warmth

Spreading Warmth ┃Experience Scripps Hall in a new, optimistic light.

Project brief: Exhibition

Warmth is the one that spreads. Channel the resilience of remaining nature and built structures to spread warmth together with the humans. Reunite to rebuild through new creations as part of the journey to move forward. Take this valuable opportunity to experience the historical landmark of Altadena once again in a new, optimistic light.

Designed to be a temporary structure, lightweight materials can be used thoughtfully and repurposed for a low-impact experience. Polycarbonate tubes, with internal LED strips and external layering of dichroic films, are supported by corner connectors and tension cables. These tubes connect the remaining trees and brick structures efficiently. It symbolically grounds the floating structure of light into the surroundings.
