Ascent Animation

This project is an abstract visualizer for the song Bluebird of Happiness by Mohave 3. The animation works in accordance with the culminating instrumental bridge, utilizing light abstraction to reflect the song’s esoteric quality.

Process:

Long exposure photography was a key reference, with the light trails leading the viewer through the animation. The light trails were built in C4D using tracers, refraction effects and wide open camera apertures. This project was a useful exercise for working with abstraction in 3D.
