Typo Lyon

(TASK—typographic wordmark + visual identity for type design conference. Identity applied to 3’x 6’ posters, tees, and attendee badges) I approached this project by evaluating the role of typography, to imagine what a type design conference would be celebrating. In one iteration of the logo, I had three repeating circles, and this reflected themes of equivalence, timelessness, and wholeness. In a larger sense, typography is also about its impact and mission.
Learning Outcomes:
identity system: from research and concept to creating an identity. Carrying identity throughout different designs. refinements and iterations: exploring and developing different versions so that the process is not straightforward and linear. applications: had to be thoughtful about carrying an identity system to different applications such as a name tag or a tee shirt.
