Creation By Destruction

Creation By Destruction is a hypothetical exhibition, featuring a book, posters, and spatial design. The curated artists are contemporary muralists with a shared theme of symbolism in their portraiture work. The book finish size is 8.5"x11.5" and is wrapped with an option of 1 of 3 folded 24"x36" exhibition posters as a cover. (Each poster features 2 of the 6 artists.)
Learning Outcomes:
I learned to explore multiple styles in narrative for book design; How to use the ArtCenter library for references and resources (i.e. essays); How to use Acrobat to convert scans into live text. How to apply textures where needed; How to treat micro and macro copy within the books paragraph and character style sheets. How to design spreads for artist sections (plates) and essay sections. How to treat images with curve adjustments.
