This spring I was very fortunate to take on a packaging design project for a long time client within the Cannabis / CBD industry. The product is his brand of Mexican themed food products. The objective was to design a child resistant float-pack for his two products of Cannabis infused "gummies" (Strawberry and Mango).
Learning Outcomes:
It was fun to create something with cultural pride. Never having designed something packaging related for the Cannabis industry proved to be worthwhile experience. I learned a lot about requirements for cannabis related product packaging; THC symbol size specs, THC mg legalities, government warning labels, P65 warnignlabels, other things that can and can't be on the packaging, etc. Above all, I learned a lot about the plate printing process and gained valuable experience.
