Hi-Life Burgers Background Painting

Day and night variations of the Hi-Life Burger exterior inspired by background design from early 2000's cartoons. 

Process:

I began this project by taking pictures of the establishment exterior during the day and during the night to capture the buildings shapes. Made thumbnail sketches and color variations before finalizing color and paint. 

Learning Outcomes:

I learned the importance of having excellent type in digital paintings and new rendering techniques to achieve a slightly different style than my own.
