The Lost Pages of Nikolas Claude

Visual Development Project illustrating the story of a college librarian, Danny who gets trapped inside of his classmate, Nikolas's diary and must help him solve his problems to escape.

Process:

I started this project with an extensive moodboard and character sketches. I designed a prop page and began the painting process with 9 thumbnail paintings and 9 more color tests and finished the project with 3 final paintings

Learning Outcomes:

I gained a stronger sense of color and dynamic lighting and drastically improved my painting skill and rendering techniques and discovered my love for visual storytelling.
