Orbi Home Security Drone

Orbi is a smart security drone that flies, detects, and docks on its own. Designed for both homeowners and renters, it replaces multiple cameras with one intelligent device. Orbi flies only when motion or threats are detected, reducing blind spots while preserving privacy. When inactive, it stays docked in a discreet case, ready to act. Orbi makes home security simpler, smarter, and more considerate.
Learning Outcomes:
Inspired by the LA fires, I saw how residents struggled with home security while away. I set out to design a smarter, more responsive solution. Over twelve weeks, I focused on user needs, building twelve 3D printed mockups to explore form, behavior, and system integration. I learned to balance design vision with real-world function and believe this concept could make a meaningful impact.
