the RED DOG

Red dog refers to a red dog in Chinese. But its other pronunciation refers to the gap in Chinese. This work was created in the 3D Fundamentals course and is made of 20lbs foam polished and sprayed. This work implies that most people in today's society are like a red dog when they get along with others, enthusiastic and fanatical, warm and violent, real and expectant. The shape of the dog represents the positive attitude of most people when socializing, and the red color represents the gap that is invisible but felt by people attached to the seemingly positive surface, but has always been like a shadow. Most people do not realize that there is a real social distance between others and themselves, and it is not a concrete thing in itself, so when people approach another person with kindness and joy, they will be blocked by negative or unconditional situations. Living is like a chasm. The gap exists there, and the red color will fade with each other, but it is always blocked there at the beginning. For some people and some people, the red will never fade. This work is an extension of the chasm, and the dark red color serves as a point of expression of emotions. When the personal gap between two people collided, it was like a wall ash from a real wall, the colliding fruit overflowed with juice, and the white paint swayed on the dark red mood.
