Los Angeles Public Library: Wander for the Wonder

I was assigned to create a zine that promotes an organization: its mission, program, and issues. I chose Los Angeles Public Library with a slogan I came up with “Wander for the Wonder.” The zine’s goal is to sell literacy and talk about illiteracy in the nation. The typography creates a movement that makes negative space for readers to wander around and appreciate the flow of words. The type repeats the word that speaks the idea of being able to read clearly by repeating and stuttering.
Learning Outcomes:
I learned how to make a systematic type movements and layouts that represent the institution or corporation. Printing on newsprint was a great opportunity to look at the format.
