Sauntering Through Love

"Sauntering through Love" is a book about eroticism, specifically about “humanistic fetish.” Coming from a conservative country South Korea, my spectrum of love in different nation were eye-opening, and that leads to a question, “what is a right love and what is the boundary of love that we can accept?” I made a visual language with a red string to indicate connections between the two. The book explores love from "usual" to "unusual" love and asks one question, ‘What does love mean to you?
Learning Outcomes:
I learned how to use images, typography, color, and layouts to become a narrative to communicate with readers. Making a book, to communicate with somebody with the sequence and visual languages I made as an editor (graphic designer) was fascinating. I also went on the street to take pictures of lovers which was a challenge but staying outside of reading written stories and actually communicating with "people" was eye-opening.

These are polaroid pictures of couples that I met on the street in Old Pasadena. I kept one for myself, and gave one for them.
