Automaton Typeface

This is a typeface that embodies the relationship between humanity and machine just as my thesis is covering this aspect. I was inspired by a typeface called columbia antiqua created specifically for the chicago world fair of 1893. This typeface was under the classification of scotch modern and had distinct angular characteristics that stuck out to me in the n, m, and a. I intend to build on the existing typefaces characteristics.
Learning Outcomes:
I've been learning alot about letter relationships, glyphs software, letter spacing, the history of typography, and the nuances of type design. I've also learned that the 1893 world fair is famous for bringing railroad, electricity, radio, and agricultural innovations. The scotch modern is also characteristic of the victorian age of design. the historical context gives me a foundation to work with in inspiration.
