Overview Taiwanese indigenous people were suppressed in the past during colonization by the Spanish, Dutch, Japanese, and Chinese. A lot of their culture and practices have been forgotten, or even disappeared. As today’s society has become more accepting of diversity and cultural differences, many of the younger generation have found their identity in the culture and started to embrace and carry forward their traditions. This book project explores these issues.
