Empyrean

This design is an aesthetic piece that represents my hand. The project follows a simple design process from gathering inspiration and research, to sketching and refining, to modeling digitally and physically.

It was a fun challenge, and I learned many great skills such as craftsmanship, high level eye for details, and humbleness.

Process:
  1. Researching companies and inspiration
  2. Constant sketching and modeling interplay
  3. Rendering in 3D
  4. Purchasing materials and finding fabricators
  5. Complete hand modeling and finishing
  6. Presentation

Learning Outcomes:

Working with different kinds of woods

Sourcing materials and fabricators

Designing "my hand"
