The fabric itself is something I created: it’s a layer of cotton and a layer of mesh, with different types of yarn sandwiched in between. Then I used a sewing machine to stitch circular patterns across the whole surface. For me, this process feels like a form of illustration too — just using fiber and texture instead of ink or paint.
