New Korean Cinema

The assignment was to design a poster and a brochure using the same layout for a film festival focused on New Korean cinema. It is supposed to simulate using a 2-color print job so we can't rely on full color screenshots of the films to make the composition work. I chose pink and black and to use a crop from a still, adding a brush mark on top for intrigue. The jumbled type in the poster helps distribute type across brochure pages.

Learning Outcomes:

I learned how to focus on two different layouts of the same composition at the same time so that each one looks good. I also learned how to have type react to image and vice versa.
