Seasons of Glass and Iron

Genre: Drama, Romance

This is an animated short film adaptation of Amal El-Mohtar’s story of the same name. Created for the Production Design course. I took on the role of Director, script writer, Storyboard artist, animator, compositor, editor, and designer.

Started as a concept design group exercise, I was very glad and fortunate to find a team that allowed me to push everyone beyond what was asked of us. Together, we were able to bring this beautiful and important story to life.

Process:

The whole project was conceived, developed, and finished between 14 weeks.

During the first eight weeks, the team focused on worldbuilding and visual development. From weeks 8–14, I stepped in as director, establishing clear weekly deliverables and leading the team to complete the film on schedule.
