Mellow — Table Lamp

Mellow is a playful table lamp inspired by toasted marshmallows and the warmth of shared night moments. The soft, glowing “marshmallow” diffuser brings a gentle, comforting light, while the angled stem adds character and invites interaction. Designed to shift between tabletop use and handheld lighting, Mellow encourages casual, joyful rituals—whether for reading, guiding a path, or creating an ambient atmosphere with friends.

Process:

I explored everyday rituals around warmth, play, and comfort, using toasted marshmallows as a metaphor for soft light and emotional connection. Through rapid sketching and form studies, I tested proportions, interaction, and balance. I refined the final design with CMF and lighting mood explorations to support both tabletop and handheld scenarios.
