Shroom Discipline

Shroom discipline is a design project of combining Situationist International and hippie with both print and digital media. For the contrasting idea, I found a contrast between Situationists and hippie in terms of aggressive or passive movement as a resistance to the world. Images for this project is based on détournement , which is a Situationist technique creating a new artwork based on other images. All Images are physical collages and bitmaps using Situationist artworks and my photos.
Learning Outcomes:
We had a lot things to do in this class from print to screen base media, which I enjoyed learning totally new things like kinetic posters and ar filters. Personally, the most challenging part of this class was to be very experimental and create a visual system under the concept since I haven't done this kind of making process before.

Artist article 1: combining physical collage with digital bitmap
Physical collages I made for hippie concept
Hippie article 1 / scanned physical collages using the photo of me wearing bohemian clothes. I tried to express psychedelic feeling in the collage which was one of the cultural aspect in hippie culture.
Scanned physical collages using the photo of me wearing bohemian clothes. I tried to express "flower power" which was a slogan in 60-70s presenting nonviolence and passive resistance in hippie movement.
2. Shroom Discipline film portrays psychedelic and drug vibe in hippie movement. I also created a soundscape piece to represent flickering / psychedelic feelings in the film.
