Kaiju Fury Turbo
Kaiju Fury Turbo is a top-down, couch co-op, non-stop, action adventure game, set in a near future world where one company has asserted it can control the Kaiju that once plagued it. As a Kaiju, battle your way out from under your corporate overlords, through defense hardened cities, defeat modified kaiju, and become the cataclysm they always feared.
Learning Outcomes:
This is a project that was born of my desire to see more than just the concepts. I created the characters and world, but it just wasn't enough for me. From this project I concepted the game, created character and environment models from my concepts in Blender, texture painted, rigged, animated, imported to unreal, created VFX in Niagara (Unreal 5.2), UI elements, and produced my own trailers. (Please note my brother Thomas Laidacker programmed the game for me)
