Movie Poster

This was a movie poster for the movie Adaptation by Spike Jonze if it were to be re-released how we would display it. I wanted to really show the consumption of main characters thoughts with "The Orchid Thief". I brainstormed ideas and how to display them, coming up with the idea to use a book as a depiction of the main character Charlie Kaufman.
Learning Outcomes:
I learned simple text layouts can compliment your image in a positive way. It isn't always best to fill the page with your image because it causes clutter, allowing negative space to compliment the image.

In these sketches I was trying to do a metaphorical representation of the movies "Being John Malkovich" and "Adaptation"

This was my first digital rendition just laying out the idea of being a part of the orchid.

These were all the photos I took where I used a light on different parts of the orchid to really make it radiate. After I put them in photoshop to mask them into one image with adequate lighting.

This was my final rendition with a mockup placed in a more sophisticated area to emphasize the negative space in the poster.
