Collage

A collection of my collage work. Collage is one of my all-time favorite mediums.
This was a tribute piece to my favorite collage artist: Setsu Kimura. She is a 94 year old who makes a collage every day. She is a personal inspiration to me.
ABDUCTED AT SEA: An experimental collage piece exploring the undefined relationship UFO's have to the sea. I also like to imagine a shark being abducted, and the chaos it would cause.
30TH - Created to celebrate Shark Week's 30th anniversary. I've watched shark week ever since I was little and wanted to explore my relationship to the holiday.
SAN FRANCISCO LOVERS - The first time I visited SF I was so struck by the pink houses! I was still playing in the shark world and I just thought about what a shark themed San Francisco Townhouse might look like. I also wanted to celebrate San Francisco's queer identity, thus our main characters are kissing.
RETURN TO SHARK ISLAND - This was directly inspired by the adventure comics and books of the 1960s.
SHARK MANIA - My shark collage magnum opus. This is about the strange fascination we hold for sharks, we love them, but always cast them as the violent antagonist..
