The Cat In The Window

A children's book I wrote and Illustrated. This book was inspired by my little sister, who anxiously would wait for us to pick her up or come home. But instead of using my sister as the main conduit of the story I choose our childhood cat, Misty.

I love how small the cat looks in this spread, it's a great reminder of the cat's scale.
Image
I love this spread, as it's a way to show that the cat is not alone and that there are other cats waiting too.

This spread was inspired by my own fear of lighting and thunder as a child.

This spread was challenging, as most places I put the arms/hands felt awkward. In the end, I'm happy with the result- but still remember the struggle.
