Vinyl design & packaging

For this project, I re-designed an entire album, either from an existing piece or we could make it up. In this album, the musician that I've chosen is Taisei Iwasaki, inside the vinyl collection: I designed the 16 page booklet, the vinyl sleeves as well as the vinyl stickers. It's a whole experience to go through and to truly understand the creative process of curating for a music album, especially a vinyl. 

I started with curating found images and items, taking inspiration from mundane lives. Simultaneously, I also created a hand-made type family. I made my type out of beads, symbolizing the innocence youth theme that's reoccurring in the album. When curating the booklet, I went to the library and found old magazines that had illustrations that showed a colorful youth. It's almost like looking inside the heroine's childhood bedroom, seeing these images curates a cozy mood that connects us to the series that this soundtrack is about: First Love.
