Music Covers: Blackmagik Blazing - Camellia

This is a series of typographic exercises to further develop type fundamentals through different forms of expression, and second, application of the learned fundamentals through poster series. Each exercise utilizes 9 unique and conceptual typographic layouts, with a favorite select on a chosen album. For this typography foundation sequence, I chose the album Blackmagik Blazing by Camellia. The modern piece is focused on darkness and black magic.
Learning Outcomes:
Throughout my classes in Art Center, this class was definitely the hardest from the amount of work and keeping an original concept every week. I learned a lot of experimentation, tools, and manipulations in Photoshop to help me keep up with creating 9 posters every week for around 9 weeks in a row. This class helped me extremely with time management and originality to keep an illustration that compelled the music. Kerning was another technique I learned in this class as well.
