Storyboards

My storyboards focus on comedic, character-driven stories. My boards are geared at a television audience. I like to explore character’s interacting with the environment, each other, and the situations they’re thrown in to.

Process:

I started with on paper thumbnails, to sketch ideations and get my general shots down. I then moved to rough boards on Storyboard Pro, timing my shots for the animatic. I finished my board with clean-up and tone.

Learning Outcomes:

These boards were a turning point for me. I focused on varying my shot choices, embracing camera moves, and emphasizing character interactions. Each board was geared to fit the tone of the board.
