Biological Skeleton Collection

This character design project is inspired by a collection of biological skeletal specimens from China, combining anatomical study with cultural symbolism and storytelling. The project explores how human and animal skeletal forms influence a character's visual language, personality, and backstory.

Each character's design is based on observations of skeletal structure, movement, and rhythm, translating these observations into unique physical characteristics, postures, and design elements. Chinese cultural themes, folklore, and traditional aesthetics are incorporated into the project, giving each character depth and narrative resonance. For example, the elegant form of bird skeletons might inspire the design of a graceful and mysterious character, while the robust skeletal structure of mammals could provide inspiration for a character clad in armor.
