The Museum of Quilts and Textiles is the first U.S. institution solely dedicated to fiber arts. This rebrand reflects the evolving dialogue between tradition and innovation, focusing on the intersection of textiles and technology. The new identity aims to engage a broader, younger audience and position fiber arts as a dynamic medium for contemporary expression.
Learning Outcomes:
This project challenged me to think beyond static visuals and consider how identity systems can adapt across mediums. I explored the translation of thread into code—designing a custom typeface and generative patterns that draw from the language of patternmaking and fiber arts. By integrating p5.js, I learned how to bridge the tactile with the digital, expanding the identity into an interactive and evolving experience.
