Antique Spirit

For this class, I’ve create a zine, film, kinetic posters and AR filters, that relate with my artist and contrasting idea, My zine is called Antique Spirit, it includes the artist Maya Deren and my contrasting idea about the sky lantern in Lantern Festival.
Learning Outcomes:
Overall I learn how to think creatively about my idea and not be afraid to try it out. In this class I could also learn to see how my classmates would think about creating their project, which also inspired me that there were lots of different ways to approach the ideas.

For my 2 kinetic poster, I include a quote from the Maya Deren article, and also showing the process of making the imagery and holding the lantern I made in the first poster, and I show the different part of light moving in my film on my second posters, the sound for these posters came from an app call Seaboard 5d and I play randomly on the keyboard

This AR filter is about Maya Deren so I include the Haitian vodou symbol that will rotate on the face, and use one of the Maya Deren image as background

For my contrasting idea filter, I drew different movement of light way which is similar to my contrasting idea image, the pattern will also change on my face, then I include a lantern and a chinese phrase which mean hope the wish come true in the background.
