PUMA Speedcat Reimagined

This is a group project in which we reimagined the PUMA Speedcat through the use of recycled and bio-based materials. Our goal was not only to make the shoe more sustainable, but also to let the materials themselves tell a story. By using a naturally grown mycelium outsole and an orange-peel bioplastic torsion plate, we explored how material choices can create both functional value and emotional meaning. The project shows how sustainability can be expressed not just through performance, but also through texture, narrative, and the feeling that a product has a life beyond itself.
