External Factors
External Factors is a book exploring the concept of situationism. Situationism is the view that an organism’s interaction with the environment and situational factors are the primary determinants of behavior. Although personal characteristics and internal factors are present, there is little control when external factors are so severe. This book explores the strange, unlikely, and controlling situations that humans have adapted to living with.
Learning Outcomes:
This project was the first book I had ever produced. The most difficult aspect was conceptualizing how to guide the reader through a story using interesting imagery and chosen articles. Although it was never professionally printed, I worked with a local printer to determine the printing and binding requirements. External Factors, would be a soft bound book, featuring a die cut on the craft paper cover.
